Introduction and Outline

This is an online falls prevention learning activity designed for general practitioners (GPs) and practice nurses. This GP Active Learning Module (ALM) provides a step-by-step process on how to identify patients at risk of falling and provide tailored management options.

This Active Learning Module will teach you to:

  • Effectively identify and screen for fall risk factors
  • Apply evidence-based falls prevention processes
  • Work in collaboration with allied health professionals
  • Consider how medications increase the risk of falling
  • Integrate fall prevention processes into your medical practice

There is the option for self-reporting to receive 40 Category 1 RACGP QI&CPD points.
