  • The plans should be reasonably specific. “I will stand up slowly during the add breaks when I watch my tv after dinner. ( the advert being the prompt to act) Or I will sit down slowly after I change the channel with the remote while watching TV after dinner (reaching for the remote which you have moved so need to stand to reach –the remote becomes the prompt)
  • Planning should involve VISUALISATION – they need to see themselves doing it.  This is part of trying to influence intent and the transfer of intent into action.
