Make changes to your surroundings to provide more opportunities to embed the activities

  • For example:
    • Move the dishwashing liquid from the bench top to under the sink so that you are reminded to bend your knees when you reach for it
    • Move your underwear to a lower drawer so you have to bend your knees to get to it
    • Look for stairs rather than always looking for the way to not use stairs

Unsimplify to increase opportunities

  • Start thinking in the opposite direction so that we can make everyday activities opportunities to improve balance and strength
