Do repetitions matter?
- Lally et al. (2010) observed that despite identical repetitions, there was considerable heterogeneity in the time required for automaticity to plateau. Therefore, maintaining a habit requires multiple influences
- Social-cognitive variables such as perceived behavioural, affective attitudes and action planning (when and where), may increase the variance of exercise automaticity (de Brujin et al., 2014).
